E-mail Forwarding
Find out about e-mail forwarding, what it does as well as in which cases it is helpful to get it enabled.
The term e-mail forwarding refers to an e-mail message being forwarded from a recipient address to a third-party address which is not mentioned as a recipient. For instance, a client sends out an e-mail from their personal mail box to support@domain.com and as far as they're concerned, this is the only recipient. If there is an active forwarding, the message can be sent to owner@domain.com, for instance, although the customer in no way meant the message to be sent there and may not be aware of the existence of this mail box. There are numerous purposes for applying such forwarding. For instance, if you've many emails you're able to forward each of them to a sole mailbox, which can make checking emails less difficult and will allow you to get emails and respond to them timely. The function can also be used if a number of people should get a copy of an email message sent to a general mail box.

E-mail Forwarding in Hosting
If you have a
hosting package with us and you set up e-mail addresses inside your account, you'll be able to forward it with just a couple of clicks to any other address of your choosing. The option can be enabled when you create a new email address or any time afterwards and disabled just as quickly in case you change your mind. This is done through the Hepsia Hosting Control Panel where you can handle your account. You will also have the option to decide whether a backup of the inbound messages will stay on our servers or not. The benefit of this feature is that you will always have a copy on your end if something happens with the other mailbox or maybe if it isn't active for some reason at the time a message is forwarded. If the option is not enabled, an e-mail will be received, forwarded and removed from our system even if the remote email is functioning or not, so it can be quite a good idea to have it enabled just to be on the safe side.

E-mail Forwarding in Semi-dedicated Hosting
For people with a
semi-dedicated server from our company, it will take you only a few mouse clicks in the Email Manager area of your Hepsia Hosting Control Panel to forward any of the email addresses configured on our system to a third-party e-mail address. In the same area you will also have the ability to see how many of your email addresses are forwarded and exactly where the incoming emails are sent. It is possible to activate or deactivate a forwarding account at any time and throughout the process you can also decide whether a copy of the email messages has to be kept on our servers or not. Even though this option is not a requirement, it is very valuable as you will have a copy of the emails on our end in case that something happens with the third-party email address. Even when they've got only a momentary problem, you run the risk of losing email messages as the moment our system gets and forwards an email, absolutely nothing will be maintained on our end unless you selected a copy to be stored.
